The second CAULLT leadership webinar is titled “Reflecting on higher education leadership during times of change” and led by a panel of experts from Deakin University. It will be held on Thursday 20 August at 1 – 2 pm AEST.
The Deakin academics are A/P Chie Adachi (Digital Learning), Prof Margaret Bearman (CRADLE), A/P Marcus O’Donnell (Cloud Learning Futures), A/P Barbie Panther (Teaching Capability) and Darci Taylor (CloudFirst CoDesign).
The five academics are starting an autoethnographic study, examining their role as leaders of learning and teaching during this challenging time. Through regular written reflection and discussions, they are exploring the changing nature of their work in leading learning and teaching initiatives; and the challenges and opportunities in managing academic disruption and their shifting professional identities.
In this presentation they will outline the process of collaborative reflection they are undertaking, explore the themes identified through the process and highlight the role of collaborative reflection for those in leadership positions during times of disruption.
