Reporting Relationship for Head

C-SALT sits within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Tim Wess. Key relationships are with the Schools; the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students); Student Services and Engagement; Information Services and Library; Statistical Information and Analysis Unit; Quality Office; Information Technology Services; Asset Management Services and Capital and Commercial.

Role and Responsibilities of Director

The Director of the Centre for Support and Advancement of Learning and Teaching (C-SALT) leads the advancement of learning and teaching across the University. As a senior manager within the University, the Director determines priorities for the Centre consistent with sectoral advances nationally and internationally and uses this knowledge to inform University strategic and operational planning.


Structure and Staffing

There are approximately 30 FTE within C-SALT, and the office works in a project management based structure, aligned with the university’s strategic priorities. In addition to working hard, the team also play hard, engaging in social and well-being activities regularly.
