The program for the Learning Leaders Conference is now available

Higher Education Services hosts the Learning Leaders Conference on 3 June in collaboration with CAULLT. The conference is being held under the theme Learning and Teaching Leadership in Higher Education: Emerging Models for the Future.

HES is offering all staff from CAULLT members a discount of 10 per cent off registrations for the LLC and following HES conference.

CAULLT has distributed the special ID code to claim the discount in the March, April and May Activity Reports sent directly to member nominees. Alternatively contact secretariat@caullt.edu.au

The Learning Leaders Conference features Anthony McClaran, CEO of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Professor Romy Lawson, Provost, Murdoch University and includes concurrent sessions exploring emerging models of future leadership. Other topics include: The Imperative for emotionally intelligent frameworks for learning and teaching leadership; Leading for disruptive change in higher education; Educational leadership: What does it look like? and A strategic framework for employee and student leadership. This is just a taste of the vibrant one-day program.

The Learning Leaders and HES conferences run from 3 to 5 June.

A sector in transformation is the theme of the HEQN Conference on 4 and 5 June under the streams Assessment, Integrity, Review.

Speakers at the HEQN Conference will delve into and unpack the challenges shaping the higher education sector. The conference will include: Emeritus Professor Kwong Lee Dow, Patron of the HEQN; Emeritus Professor Peter Coaldrake, Chair of the Higher Education Provider Category Standards and former Vice-Chancellor, Queensland University of Technology; Professor Kerri-Lea Krause, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) La Trobe University and Member, Higher Education Standards Panel; Simon Finn, CEO, Independent Higher Education Australia; Dr Sally Burt, Policy and Research Manager, Independent Higher Education Australia; and Lisa Bolton, Director of QILT Research and Strategy.

Concurrent sessions focused on Assessment, Integrity and Review will feature Associate Professor Phillip Dawson, Associate Director of the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning, Deakin University and Deakin’s Matt Brett, Director of Academic Governance and Standards and Janine Truter, Manager of Quality Assurance. The program also includes panel discussions and practical workshops.
