CAULLT warmly invites you to our 2026 Academic Development Day on Thursday, 22 October 2026 at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

This event is a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow academic developers, share innovative practices, and explore new approaches to supporting teaching excellence across our member institutions. Participation is free of charge and open to staff members from CAULLT member institutions.

We have designed this day as a face-to-face experience to foster meaningful connections, to allow attendees to share their practice and insights and to network.

Venue

The Galleries is located on the ground level of the John Niland Scientia Building (G19). The building is on the upper campus, facing the Scientia Lawn and adjacent to the UNSW Library and the John Goodsell Building. The closest light rail stop is UNSW High St (L2 line).

Transport:

UNSW can be easily reached by public transport. To plan your trip, please use the Transport NSW Trip Planner.

The best entry points to the campus are:

  • Gates 8 or 9 from High Street
  • Gate 11 from Botany Street
  • Gate 14 from Barker Street

Visitor parking is available at:

  • Botany Street Carpark: ground floor and top level. This one is the closest to both venues, although visitor parking is quite limited. It’s located next to the AGSM Building.
  • Barker Street Carpark: level 1C and top level. This is located at Lower Campus, close to the UNSW Optometry Clinic.

Visitor parking rates at both carparks is $15.50 for 2 hours, then $4.75 per hour up to 12 hours total and can be done through the available meters (by the lifts) or through the CellOPark App upon arrival.

More details on parking at UNSW can be found here, and information on parking rates here.

There is construction around Botany Street Carpark and it can get busy during peak hours as there have been changes in traffic, plus construction trucks, etc. Please keep this in mind if you are driving to the venue.
