Supporting academic developers: professional development options
Focus and purpose:
HERDSA and CADAD seek an understanding the professional learning needs of academic developers. Internationally, academic developers are offered a range of formal professional learning opportunities including the 2-3 day conference events.
This project proposes to investigate the interest for similar professional learning opportunities in the Australian context. A survey of HERDSA and CADAD members is proposed to explore current professional learning activities and interest in formal events.
Additionally, the survey will be the basis of scholarly output in relation to the staff development needs and the changing nature of academic development work.
