This project will create an Australian and New Zealand benchmark of central learning and teaching teams. As universities respond to rapid change, including digital transformation, generative AI, and emerging expectations for teaching quality, leaders need clearer evidence about how these teams are organised, what they do, and how they demonstrate impact. The study will map central team structures across the sector and conduct interviews with learning and teaching leaders and staff. Findings will be shared through a benchmarking summary, a CAULLT webinar, and a journal publication/s aimed at informing future planning and improvement.
