How do we cultivate and sustain educational leaders throughout their careers? What does educational leadership mean in higher education contexts?

Join us for this webinar presenting groundbreaking research findings that address these fundamental questions. The multi-institutional research team will share insights from their CAULLT-funded study examining educational leadership identities across all career stages in Australasian universities.

The research team analysed survey responses from 80 participants and conducted 28 in-depth interviews with educational leaders across Australia and New Zealand. Their findings reveal how relational approaches impact leadership development, the various levels of leadership engagement, recognition challenges particularly affecting professional staff, and the ongoing support needs expressed by participants.

The research team presents practical implications for how institutions can better identify and support educational leaders within their organisations and professional networks. Whether you are an emerging leader seeking direction or an established leader looking to support others, this research offers valuable insights for strengthening educational leadership pathways.
