Angela Carbone's ProfileAssociate Dean (Learning Innovation) and Professor
Angela Carbone is Associate Dean (Learning Innovation) and Professor in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, (FSET). Angela comes with extensive educational leadership experience and an international profile in scholarship of learning and teaching. In her past role, as inaugural Academic Director of Education Excellence for Monash University’s Office of Learning and Teaching, Angela created Monash’s Education Excellence Research Group, led the Continuing Education Excellence Development program, and co-lead the design of the Monash Education Academy and its associated fellowship scheme. Her teaching fellowship work to successfully transform units and improve their quality has been pivotal to her success. She was the first academic from Monash to secure two national teaching fellowships which lead to her work being adopted internationally. Personally, Angela’s teaching achievements have been recognised via numerous teaching awards, including the nation’s highest teaching award, the Prime Minister’s Award for University Teacher of the Year. She currently leads national learning and teaching networks, and offers expert advice as a quality assurance reviewer for TEQSA.
