Ako Aotearoa: The National Centre for Tertiary Teaching Excellence based at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand, is looking for a director.  Established in 2007 by a consortium of tertiary institutions, Ako Aotearoa is funded through targeted funding contracts with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and is hosted by Massey University.

We are focused on supporting the sector to lift educational capability, including foundation-level adult literacy and numeracy, improve outcomes and enhance the effectiveness of the system for all learners, and in particular achieve parity of outcomes for Māori and Pasifika learners.

Responsible to the Chairperson, Governance Board and the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research, Academic and Enterprise) at Massey University, you will be a strong and visionary leader who has demonstrated strategic and operational leadership experience in addition to academic credibility. You will have proven experience delivering positive outcomes in complex governance environments with the ability to engage at Ministerial level.
